Dr Michael Fleischmann - Principal Osteopath/Director

AHPRA Member No:  OST0001363765

After graduating from RMIT University with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy, Michael has worked at rural and suburban clinics gaining extensive experience with people from all walks of life.

Michael believes in patient education and providing his patients with accurate and up to date information so they may prevent the injury/condition from recurring. He has a keen interest in headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, lower back pain and chronic pain that 'seems to never go away,' achieving great results in these areas. Michael hopes that patients not only leave the clinic feeling better, but with confidence, optimism and the right plan to get back to health and stay there!

Further to Michael’s Osteopathy skill set, he has a Postgraduate Diploma in Exercise Rehabilitation which broadens his expertise for diagnosing, rehabilitating and treating sporting injuries. Michael utilises a wide array of manual therapy techniques, including; massage, mobilisation of joints, manipulation of joints, exercise rehabilitation and dry needling.

Dr Ongputra Logianto - Associate Osteopath

After graduating from Monash University with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biomedical Science, Ongputra then went on to study Osteopathy at Victoria University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Master’s degree in Osteopathy. He is a firm believer in the principles of Osteopathy, namely, "seeing and treating the body as a whole".

Ongputra offers well informed Osteopathy treatment, in conjuction with rehabilitation exercise, nutrition advice, and posture retraining. He enjoys treating the common neck and back pain as well as other kinds of injuries from sports or any pregnancy-related discomfort.

He uses a wide range of Osteopathy techniques such as massage, joint articulation & manipulation, muscle energy techniques as well as other more gentle techniques if the need arises.

In his spare time, Ongputra enjoys practicing martial arts and staying active. Being an Indonesian, he is also fluent in speaking Bahasa.

Remedial Massage Therapist Profiles

Stella Faidy 

Stella has a Diploma in Remedial Massage and a Certificate in Sports massage. She studied at the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy, which is renowned for offering one of the better massage courses in Melbourne.

Stella has amazing experience working with the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL, top rating massage retreats including Hepburn Springs and experience running her own businesses. Though sports and deep tissue massage are her preferred style, she appreciates that massage is for any age and will adapt to what the client needs and wants.

Stella has been working as a remedial massage therapist since 2005, dealing with deep muscular pain, sports injuries and work / home-related stress and tension. She has developed her own niche of firm and functional massage treatment and is truly passionate and dedicated to helping people stay healthy and maintain a good level of fitness. Stella takes pride in giving direct, 100% hands on treatment and is a proud member of First Place Osteopathy.

Louise Davison

Lou came into contact with First Place Osteopathy initially as a patient and is delighted to come on board at a time when the practice is expanding.  After enduring a bad back injury Lou believes in treating the body as a whole and likes to keep active. Lou loves Pilates and making people mix CD’s.
